Under 14 Hurling Championship 2013-06-11 12:14:00

Clyda u14 hurlers opened their 2013 Championship campaign with a game against Buttevant in Killavullen last Thursday evening. Clyda ran out comprehensive winners on a final score-line of 7-14 to 1-2. The half time score read 3-8 to 0-2, with some great scores coming from Sean O Shea, Conor Corbett and Ben O Connor. Clyda kept their foot on the pedal in the second half, notching up further fine scores. Even though Buttevant continued to battle, Clyda were never under pressure, with the back line dealing effectively with any run at play. William Cronin, Matthew Cronin, Darragh Buckley and Dylan Flanagan added their names to the score sheet in the second half. Next up is a meeting with Banteer in the quarter final on Monday evening in Churchtown.
