U21 Hurling Championship 2013-09-03 16:40:00

Clyda Rovers u21 hurlers played  neighbours Kilshannig in the championship quarter final in Doneraile last Tuesday evening. Clyda got off to the better start and with some fine scores from on form Chris Buckley Seamus Madden and Seamus Ronayne, Clyda led by 1-4 to 0-2. Kilshannig settled into the game much better in the last period of the first half, bringing the game back to within three points at half time 1-10 to 1-7 to Clyda. Clyda's Chris Buckley got the opening score of the second half, but Kilshannig with some well taken scores levelled proceedings after ten minutes, 1- 11 a piece. Clyda battled hard, and with the aid of good defending and three further Chris Buckley points, Clyda ran out winners , 1-16 to 1-13.
