Clyda U12s were far too strong for Fermoy's second string in the latest U12 hurling league fixture last Thursday night in Fermoy. Every Clyda player seemed to dominate their markers and Clyda led the game from start to finish and had a good spread of scorers as well. Clyda won by 9-14 to 1-03.

In their last U12 league fixture of the group stages in the U12 hurling Clyda faced a must-win home game last Monday against the team just above them in the league standings. Ballygiblin are a club with a strong hurling tradition and Clyda knew they were in for a stern test but this Clyda team, well mentored by Brendan Walsh, Michael Corbett and Eamon Walsh, are a serious outfit and approached the game with confidence. As expected, this was a tough encounter with both sides giving everything in their attempts to qualify for the knock-out stages of the league. The game was nip and tuck throughout but Clyda deservedly took the victory after a very exciting game on a score of 4-08 to 2-09.
