Munster Intermediate Semi Final 2013-11-21 14:42:00

Clyda Rover Footballers made club history last Sunday, reaching the Premier Intermediate Football Munster Final, with an emphatic win over Ballyporeen in Clonmel last Sunday. Dispite missing three players to injury, Captain Oliver O Hanlon, Kenneth Fitzgerald and Padraic O Mullane, who did make a second half appearance, Clyda dominated the game, with Dan O Callaghan at midfield breaking down some great ball, in a man of the match performance. Clyda notched up eight points in the first half to Ballyporeens one point, which came twenty minutes into the half. The second half continued where the first had left off. Ballyporeen did up their performance for awhile, converting a penalty which brought them a bit closer, but the result never really looked in doubt . Ballyporeen had a goal disallowed, and with further fine Clyda scores , the game finished up on a scoreline of 0-15 to 1-4. Clyda worked hard throughout in a real team performance, which resulted in ten different players on the score sheet. Clyda now play St Joseph's of Miltown Malbay Clare in the Munster Final next Saturday 23rd November in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick at 2.30pm. So, come on everyone, lets all get out there and show our support and pride for this mighty Clyda team! Clyda Abu !!!!
