NIGHT AT THE DOGS

Clyda Rovers GAA held their night at the dogs in Curraheen Park last Saturday night. The event was a fund raiser for the club, as the Intermediate Football Team make final preparations for the trip to Ballinasloe next Sunday for a meeting with Kiltane of Mayo in the All Ireland Football semi final. A large crowd attended the most enjoyable night with "anything for the next race" and "are you making money" ringing out amongst young and old alike. A huge thanks must go to everybody who made the event such a success, from the organising committee, to the team leaders, to the sellers who took to the roads selling, and everybody who bought tickets for the night. A special thanks also to our sponsors, both local and not so local who contributed very generously to the event. There was a draw on the ticket for €1,500 worth of prizes and the following were the winners of same, to whom we send our congratulations . €1,000 - Donie Mullane c/o Tucker's, €100 - W O Leary c/o Tom Murphy, €100 - Susan O Keeffe c/o Cian O Sullivan, €100 -  Stuart Jack Burnfort, €100  - Peg Callaghan Rathduff, €100 - John Cahill Carrignavaar.
